Your role as the practice champion is to lead the implementation of patient triage in your practice. This guide will teach you how to get the most out of accuRx Patient Triage and how to demonstrate that Patient Triage, paired with process changes, can give you control over your patient demand.

We understand that system-level changes are hard and require a lot of change management. However, if implemented well, patient triage can deliver many benefits for your practice:

  1. Reducing unnecessary appointments by signposting and creating non-clinical pathways e.g. the Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS).
  2. Improved staff morale by taking the pressure off phone lines.
  3. Faster response times for patients from dedicated roles for triaging
  4. Saving clinical time by asking for images and additional information ahead of appointments.
  5. Clinically safer service by treating patients based on clinical priority, not on phone queues
